AR and VR Comparison Guide

Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) headsets are the latest devices in technology today. This technology is changing how we see and interact in the world around us and in the virtual world.

VR vs. AR

VR headsets offer an immersive experience into a virtual world of computer generated graphics with high resolution images that appear lifelike. The user is basically viewing a high resolution screen while blocking your vision from seeing the real world so that all you see is the screen.

AR headsets on the other hand create holograms that appear lifelike in the real world.  These holograms can be moved, shaped and change according to interaction with you or the physical environment. AR works by tricking your brain into seeing light as matter.

So while VR detaches the user from reality, AR feels very natural and a part of the real world.

That’s great but which headset should I get?

Once you decide what type of experience you want AR or VR, the next step is to review the different headsets in the market today and learn about the differences and key considerations for choosing a specific headset.

To assist you in choosing the right headset for your next event, we’ve provided a VR headset comparison on the main options available as of August, 2016. If you need more information or assistance please contact us at 888-520-5667 or contact us via email.
