Who we are

Hartford Technology Rental Company, LLC rents audio visual and computing equipment to businesses, government agencies, educational institutions and other organizations. Our website is hartfordrents.com. You can reach us at [email protected] or on 888-520-5667.

Information you give us

When you request a quote or contact us through a form on this site, we collect the details you enter. Depending on the form, that includes your name, email address, telephone number, company or organization, event dates and location, the equipment you are interested in, and anything you write in a message field.

We use that information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, fulfil a rental, and keep in touch with you about your account. It is stored in our customer relationship management system.

Information collected automatically

When you browse this site, some information is collected automatically:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. This records information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view and the links you follow.
• Visitor tracking for our CRM. Our customer relationship management system sets a cookie that lets us associate a form submission with the pages that visitor viewed beforehand, so that a salesperson can see what a customer was looking at.
• Server and security logs. Our hosting provider processes technical information, including IP addresses, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for the analytics and visitor tracking described above, and to remember accessibility preferences if you use the accessibility toolbar.

When you first arrive, a consent banner asks which categories of cookies you accept. You can change that choice at any time through the preference link the banner leaves on the page. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are held back until you accept them.

Payments

Invoices can be paid by card through our payments page. Card details are entered on a secure form hosted by our payment provider, CardX, and are processed by them. Card numbers, expiry dates and security codes are never sent to, seen by, or stored by this website or by Hartford Technology Rentals. We receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, along with the job number and the amount, so that we can record the payment and email a receipt.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only so far as they need it to do so. These currently include our customer relationship management provider, our website analytics provider, our website hosting provider, and our payment provider.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as we need them for legitimate business purposes such as accounting, tax and resolving disputes.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to [email protected] and tell us what you would like us to do.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under local law. If you exercise any of those rights we will respond as that law requires.

Children

This site is for organizations renting equipment. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
