I can remember in the early 1990’s, the “Paperless Office” was coming to the corporation near you. No more printers or copiers. Everyone would file and access documents on their PC or via the mainframe.

Even though this concept never caught on back then, it seems to be making its way into every aspect of the business world today. One holdout has been trade shows, which have lagged for years with technological automation. However, with costs coming down and ease of use going up, it appears that the resistance to change is melting away.
